Focus and Flow Ecstatic Dance and Contact Improv weekend immersion

My name is dj kat and I facilitate and produce Ecstatic Dance Sarasota and Silent Disco new and full moon at Lido beach. Ecstatic Dance is a drug/alcohol free space. Together we create safety, awareness, agreements to create a focused environment to dance. Every dance is a ceremony into the present moment. The music professionally dj-ed thru creatively tuning in to the dancers and what feels supportive to the group. The music a blend of chill, world beats, sacred chant, house, dub and soul stirring instrumental. Some come to release, express, play, dance for fun, therapy, connection and community. Every dance feels different. Ecstatic Dance communities are around the globe. Our local dances are broadcast out to a collective of friends from different countries. You can practice from home for a more personal and private feel or in our studio with floating wood floors and a compassionate loving community. Dances are offered 3x weekly on-site . Silent discos are dj-ed live at the beach. Dancers are given headsets with 3 channels. One a mixed live set, one an 80’s set mixed prior in a wave set, another is a “chill “ mix. Dancers can tap their headset amd go between channels.

All dances open with an intention setting opening with agreements to create a safe container. It’s no talking during the dance. We reconnect at end to harvest our dance and share verballly if you wish.
