Join us for an elegant evening of philanthropy, inspiration, and celebration at the Fly with FLOC: 60 Years Gala, a tribute to six decades of empowering D.C. students through education.

For Love of Children (FLOC), a cornerstone of educational equity in the nation’s capital, will commemorate six decades of service with on Tuesday, November 12, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the National Press Club (529 14th St NW, Washington, D.C.).

The event will honor FLOC’s 60-year legacy of helping thousands of D.C. youth overcome barriers to education through free tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment programs. Guests will enjoy an inspiring evening featuring cocktails, dinner, and performances by the Eastern High School Choir as well as by saxophone phenomenon Brian Lanier, along with tributes to outstanding community leaders who have advanced FLOC’s mission.

Honoring Champions of Youth and Education

This year’s honorees exemplify the spirit of service and advocacy that has defined FLOC’s work for six decades:

  • Judith Sandalow, Executive Director, Children’s Law Center
  • Eric Waldo, Executive Director, DC College Access Program (DC-CAP)
