Fluid Art Painting Class in Private Art Studio

Join us for a fun and creative Fluid Art Painting Class in our cozy Private Art Studio! Learn how to create beautiful and unique abstract paintings using various fluid art techniques. No experience is necessary - Maggie Kehoe, our talented instructor, will guide you every step of the way. Maggie has successfully taught art classes at the Cary Senior Center as well at Sterling Montessori when her children attended. Price includes canvas and all materials. A bonus canvas may be done if time permits. This small 4 person class is perfect for art enthusiasts of all levels. Come relax, unwind, and let your inner artist shine!

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Wear clothes that you don't mind getting paint on! An apron and gloves will be provided but this is a messy art.

Can I bring anything to eat or drink?

We will provide bottled water. You are welcome to bring your own beverage and snacks.

Can I take the paintings home at the end of the class?

Fluid art dries slowly! If you want to bring your painting home with you, please bring a large cookie sheet with you. The paint may shift slightly on the way home. Otherwise, you are welcome to leave it behind in the studio to dry overnight. Your masterpiece will be ready to take home in 2 days.

What is the best age for this class?

Ages 8 and above are welcome. Please call us if you would like to bring someone younger.

Will chairs be provided?

Chairs will be available but you will be standing during the active painting process.

What technique(s) will be covered in this class?

Each class is different but the easiest technique for beginners is the Flip Cup. Color choice and layering techniques are most important here. The instructor will guide you every step of the way to insure a beautiful result.

Fluid Art has become my passion and I want to share it with the world in my large brightly lit home studio. Come learn and become addicted to the large variety of fluid art techniques including Flip Cup, Straight Pour, Swipe, and more.

Learn to paint canvases and functional art including beautiful coasters, vases, and ornaments. Currently classes are limited to 4 people to insure you get the individual attention you want and are not rushed through the creative process. Class fees include all supplies including paint, canvas, gloves, apron, and more.
