Is this a tech-free event?

Accepted Answer

We recommend having your devices in airplane mode for the majority of the retreat, and to only use it privately, if absolutely necessary. During the silent meditation days, we will ask that you stay completely off screens, except to use your phone as a light or an alarm.

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Personal food — Breathable, comfortable, modest clothes without logos or words — Sunscreen or a sun hat — Personal hygiene items including shampoo, conditioner, personal medications and/or vitamins and herbal remedies — A yoga mat — Ear plugs

What should I not bring?

Accepted Answer

Intoxicants of any kind (including alcohol, psychedelics, tobacco, or marijuana) — Candles, incense, or matches — Pets

What's the daily schedule like?

Accepted Answer

Full schedule TBA. Generally, wake-up bell around 7am, breakfast, activities, lunch around 1, an afternoon exercise period, more activities, dinner, and then hangout or practice time in the evenings. Lights-out by 10PM. On some days, there’ll be designated late-night conversation areas.

Will there be free time?

Accepted Answer

There will be open periods where you can shower, go for a walk, or take a nap. We’ll also have breaks throughout the day. Participate as best you can. If you need to miss any part of the schedule, you will just notify the staff. The relational days will generally be looser than the silent practice.

Question 6

What COVID-19 precautions will be in place for this retreat?

We suggest that within 48 hours of arrival you do a Rapid Test. If you have symptoms or test positive, stay home and we'll refund your deposit. Masking will be optional throughout the retreat.

Question 7

What time are arrival and departure?

Accepted Answer

Retreatants should arrive between 9am and 4:30pm on June 23. Only snacks and dinner will be provided on arrival day. The retreat ends June 30 at 6pm, followed by a celebratory dinner and evening chill time. Retreatants can stay overnight and depart by 10am on July 1st after a light breakfast.
