When do we find out the location of the event?

*IMPORTANT* The location posted IS NOT where the event will take place. The event will be in Brooklyn, NY but exact details will be shared with registered participants one week prior to the session.

What materials will be provided?

We’ll have pencils, erasers, and paper ready for you so you can just show up and start drawing. If you have any favorite tools or materials, maybe a special pencil or particular paper you love, feel free to bring them along to make your experience even more personal and enjoyable.

What materials ARE NOT allowed?

For safety and studio care, we cannot accommodate dry pastels, open ink containers, or paints other than watercolor.

Question 5

Will the model be posing clothed or nude?

The model will be posing partially or fully nude. This allows for a focus on anatomy, form, and movement. All attendees are expected to respect the model’s privacy and boundaries at all times.

Is this an instructed class?

Accepted Answer

This is a self-guided figure drawing session. A class monitor will be present to keep time and answer any general questions, but there will not be formal instruction. We also host classes with teaching artists, so keep an eye out for those if you’d like more hands-on instruction.

Can we take photos?

Accepted Answer

Photography of the model is not permitted out of respect for the model’s privacy. Anyone disregarding this will be asked to leave. You’re welcome to take photos of the space and your own work when model is done posing.

Can we tip the model?

Yes, absolutely! Tips for the model are welcome and appreciated, but never required.

What snacks and drinks will be offered?

We’ll have a selection of vegetarian-friendly savory and sweet snacks, along with a few non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy during the break times.

What’s a Guided Flow donation?

A Guided Flow Donation is a contribution that helps us continue creating accessible, welcoming spaces for art, community, and connection. Your support goes toward covering costs like model pay, supplies, space rentals and community offerings such as our Gift a Seat offering.

What’s a Gift A Seat donation?

Accepted Answer

A Gift a Seat donation is a way to help someone in our community attend who may not have the resources to purchase a ticket on their own. Your contribution goes directly toward covering the cost of a seat, opening the door for another artist or community member to join us in the creative flow.

How can we find out more about Gift A Seat tickets?

If you are unable to afford a GA ticket, please reach out to us through the Eventbrite messaging portal letting us know you would like to attend one of our classes via our Gift a Seat program. We’ll let you know if a seat becomes available and notify you when seats open up for future events as well.

FOR FULL REFUND: request cancellation at least 30 days before the event • FOR CREDIT: request cancellation at least 72 hours before the event to receive a credit for a future class •  NON-REFUNDABLE: cancellations made within 72 hours of the session are not eligible for a refund or credit
