Flow Sanctuary
Overview
Step into this sacred space for playful movement, where we are invited to reconnect with ourselves and our community. This isn’t just dance—it’s a ritual of connection, expression, and celebration. We honor the joy of being alive, surrendering to the rhythm that frees us, while also embracing the stillness within that brings us back to center.
We’ve partnered with Riverbird Clinic to support their efforts to expand and create holistic spaces that nurture the well-being of our community. Together, we’re excited to bring you an evening of movement as medicine, where the dance floor becomes a sanctuary—a safe container to release, heal, and be playful with one another.
Whether you’re moving boldly or settling into our cozy corner for a slower pace, everyone is welcome.—including kids, as long as they’re accompanied by an attentive adult. This is an inclusive space for all bodies, identities, and experiences. We invite you to stay for the whole practice if you can—and if you need to arrive late or leave early, please honor your body’s rhythm.
In the spirit of creating a deeper connection, we invite you to keep conversation to a minimum so the music and movement can be the primary language, allowing everyone to fully immerse in the experience.
We encourage a heartfelt approach to movement, where boundaries are respected and consent is foundational. Clear guidance will be provided to ensure everyone feels comfortable, respected, and confident when engaging in contact or partner dancing. Whether you choose to dance solo or partner with others, your voice and comfort will always be honored.
About DJ ken.eco
We’re honored to be partnering with DJ ken.eco (Jordan Kendall-Parks), a black, femme-identifying local artist whose work is rooted in belonging, community, and a deep connection to nature. Their blend of afro funk, world, and a sprinkle of bass invites us into joyful movement and embodied freedom.
Community + Giving Back
We know that dance has the power to create connection—and that connection can be a force for good. 100% of the proceeds from each dance will be donated to a rotating charity, with this evening’s proceeds supporting Preble Street Food Pantry. We’re honored to support their incredible work in addressing food insecurity and ensuring that our neighbors have the nourishment they need this holiday season. In addition, Good Medicine Collective will be collecting food donations for the pantry throughout the holidays. We invite you to bring non-perishable items to contribute to this effort.
Come as you are—we welcome you with open arms, open hearts, and an open dance floor. Flow Sanctuary is a place where you can find freedom and home in your body, community in connection, and joy in movement. We can’t wait to dance with you!
