About this event

Health • Personal health

Periods are natural, yet in the United States they remain shrouded in stigma and silence. Nearly 60% of women feel embarrassed, 80% of teens describe periods with negative words, and 1 in 4 students struggle to afford products, often missing school as a result.

This FREE event is presented in two parts: first, a special screening of the documentary Me Period which confronts this stigma and sparks open conversations about women’s health. Second, a dynamic panel discussion exploring reproductive health across all stages of life. Together, we will address period poverty, maternal health, menopause, and the connection between hormones and mental well-being. Featuring everyday families and celebrity mothers like Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tabitha Brown, Me Period reveals the beauty and complexity of how we navigate conversations about our bodies.

Donations are requested, both monetary and/or menstrual product contributions, to support ongoing community efforts. Bring a pack, make an impact, because periods don’t pause, and neither should support.
