Mechanism is pleased to announce the October session in our Flexible Product Fabrication Community of Practice series!

Since its inception in 2019, this group has served as a hub for small- and medium-sized businesses and organizations to connect, exchange ideas, and create new experiences. Based on our 2024 discussions, we took action and created a showcase series and podcast. In November, we are moving this online discussion to an in-person event - join us this November in Seattle, Washington for a day of discussion, learning, and more! (RSVP here.)

This October, we follow the theme of workforce development into a conversation with Sew Valley’s Shailah Maynard. Sew Valley is a Cincinnati, Ohio-based nonprofit that operates a zero-waste garment factory, sample room, and incubator space for apparel designers and entrepreneurs.

Learn how shared workspace, equipment rental, production services, and mentorship combine to help grow the Cincinnati soft-goods manufacturing sector and keep it strong!
