What is Toastmasters?

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit organization that builds confidence and teaches public speaking skills through clubs worldwide. In a supportive community or corporate environment, members prepare and deliver speeches, respond to impromptu questions, and receive constructive feedback.

Who is allowed to attend?

Our club is open to everyone! We have members of various ages and professional backgrounds. Anyone can benefit from improving their communication and public speaking skills while meeting new people and making friends in a positive environment!

When do you meet?

We meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8:00PM at Christ Community Covenant Church (we are not affiliated with the church), first floor of the building in the north-west corner. The address is 6757 Simms St, Arvada, CO 80004.

Question 4

What can I expect?

You will be introduced as a guest at the start of the meeting and we will briefly explain our meeting schedule and roles. You will be able to provide speech feedback and participate in the impromptu speaking portion of the meeting. At the end we will ask you to share your thoughts about the meeting!

Do I need to RSVP/get a ticket?

No! We are just using eventbrite to promote our club so if you found yourself here and are interested in attending, just come to one of our meetings! Meeting dates and times are always the same, but we will update our website if we cancel a meeting or have to change location.

Question 6

What is the membership cost?

Accepted Answer

Membership dues of $90 are paid twice per year. $60 goes to Toastmasters International and $30 goes to Flatirons View Toastmasters to pay for supplies and venue rental. Guests are always welcome and free to attend, but full participation is limited to members.
