Introducing Chef Amy Richardson 🍮🔥

We are incredibly honored to welcome Chef Amy Richardson, a true culinary gem whose journey blends world-class pastry artistry, compassionate caregiving, global flavor exploration, and extraordinary community spirit.

Amy’s culinary roots run deep. She graduated from the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in 1990 and quickly made her mark as the Head Pastry Chef at Marais, one of Boston’s finest restaurants. She later taught professional continuing-education baking classes in Boston and managed a high-end specialty food and cheese shop in Toronto, expanding her expertise in flavor, technique, and artisan products.

Years later, Amy transitioned into veterinary medicine, where she has spent the past 20 years as one of the most beloved resident caregivers at a local animal hospital. The same patience, precision, and heart she brought to pastry, she now brings to every pet and family she supports. ❤️🐾

But her passion for desserts never faded. Amy has traveled across the world—tasting, learning, and studying iconic dessert traditions from many cultures.

And now, she is bringing all of that magic to Rosita’s Cocina. 👩🏻‍🍳✨ From Mexican Flan to French Crème Brûlée, this class is a beautiful fusion of traditions, artistry, and flavor.

Beyond her culinary talent, Amy has been a rock for Rosita’s Cocina during difficult times. When Rosa was recovering, it was Amy who rallied her circle of amazing women to volunteer, take shifts, and support the kitchen. She is not only an exceptional chef and a dedicated veterinary professional — she is a powerful, generous soul who is deeply loved in the Newburyport community.
