First Day Hike @ Sam's Point

Begin the new year with a First Day Hike at Sam’s Point! What better way to start off 2026 than with an invigorating winter hike for the entire family? Join us for an approximately three-mile hike on Loop Road. Snowshoes may be rented for this program for a fee of $5 per person. If conditions are icy, participants are encouraged to bring microspikes or other ice traction devices and to dress appropriately for the cold. If renting snowshoes, please arrive early. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. If you join the waitlist, please email Becca @ Rebecca.Howe@parks.ny.gov with the number of people you'd like to bring.
