First Day Hike: Bird Talk and Walk

Start off the New Year with a Bird Talk and Walk through the California State Capitol Park. Meet at 13th and Capitol Avenue in the park grounds at 9:00am for a brief talk before a leisurely “First Day Hike” searching for resident and migratory birds.

First Day Hikes is a national-led effort that encourages individuals and families to experience the beautiful natural and cultural resources found in the outdoors.

No bird watching experience is necessary. Bring a hat, binoculars and a bird book, if you have them available.

Registration is recommended, but not required.
