Description
Reusable utensils, classroom greenhouses, and zero waste, oh my! Come meet the next generation of innovators at our First Annual DC Student Innovation Showcase at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Offices.
Student teams from across the Washington DC Metro Area will present their innovative, Eco-Audit Grant funded projects in a science-fair style format. Prepare to be wowed by elementary, middle, and high school students who have developed a deep understanding of complex sustainability challenges ranging from waste management to transportation to sustainable food systems.
Through EcoRise's Eco-Audit Grant program, these students identified specific sustainability challenges on their campuses and designed innovative solutions to tackle them. A wide range of projects were submitted and funded from across the DC Metro Area this year. Select teams will be at USGBC on May 31st to showcase their inspiring work.
Student set-up begins at 4:15p and showcase beings at 5pm. Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP and share the event far and wide!
How do I get to USGBC? Carpooling and public transportation are strongly encouraged!
