DJ Nate DerucherAt the early age of 5 when Nate’s parents brought him and his brother to see his uncles band in Lake George, Nate couldn’t Keep his eyes off of the drummer and remembered thinking “that’s what I want to do!”By age 10 Nate joined percussion in the school band and continued that through college. In the summer of 1992 Nate recalls listening to Guns N’ Roses with his best friend Pat and after one of the songs he said “let’s start a band”. Nate agreed and said “I’ll play the drums.” Nate started taking lessons and got his first kit. Not too long after a band was formed and the first song they played was The Grateful Dead’s cover of “I know you rider.” In the fall of their freshman year in high school, Pat and Nate started another band with fellow classmates Todd and Chris. This lasted all through high school. One of Nate’s highlights was sharing the stage with Conehead Buddha. The following spring of 1993 Nate’s drum teacher took him to his first Phish show and was blown away by what he saw. He told all of his friends about Phish and like a lot of people, Phish consumed a huge part of his life. Being in a band and watching people dance and have fun has always been a huge passion. In his 20’s Nate decided he wanted to become a DJ. But with school, and full time jobs and later a family being a first priority, DJing was left on the back burner. It wasn’t until 2025 that Nate finally pursued his passion and became a DJ. With only a few gigs under his belt, Nate is already getting call backs for more gigs. Watching people dance and have fun is such a thrill. He hopes to see you at a show.
