Buddhist priest Brian Vaugh of Naugatauck and Woodbury poet Sandy Carlson will lead you on a journey inward with the Tao and poetry.

Buddhist priest Brian Vaugh of Naugatauck and Woodbury poet laureate emerita Sandy Carlson will lead participants on an inward journey through guided meditations, reflection and discussion of passages from the Tao Te Ching, and a writing workshop. Brian Vaugh is an ordained Buddhist monk in the Zen Tradition since 2000. He has studied various religions
starting with his time in a Catholic monastic seminary . He has been a Hospice chaplain and a prison chaplain. He says being a hospital chaplain was his most rewarding ministry. Brian is a fan and admirer of Wayne Dyer and his Wisdom of the Tao, and finds even more wisdom from his bunch of grandchildren. He offers "the Tao is like putting on a pair of glasses that improve your vision and your attitude."

Sandy Carlson is a poet and a public school teacher living in Southbury, Connecticut. Poet laureate emerita of Woodbury, Sandy has published several collections of poetry, most recently a sonnet collection titled Finding Home.
