Event description

Description

Everyone has a story to tell. But how do you get someone to share their story? Approaching strangers at conventions or on Twitter can be scary, and preparing for the interview is hard work — but this workshop makes it easy. While intended for podcasters, these tips will guide you in finding and interviewing guests and recording their stories.

Ken Gagne is the host of the Polygamer and Transporter Lock podcasts, having previously hosted Open Apple, MS Challenge Talk, The Pubcast, IndieSider, and Retro Computing Roundtable. He has interviewed hundreds of people about computer history, making music, online publishing, multiple sclerosis, therapy dogs, and mental health.

Email address required to register online. If you do not have an email address, visit or call the WFPL Reference Desk to register (617-972-6436).

Registration is required. You may not bring guests who have not registered. If you have taken a particular computer class before, we ask that you please wait to register until the day of the class so that new students have a chance to register.
