Find a Cofounder, Help or Join a Startup
Overview
Welcome to Startup Oasis!
If you are a startup founder or anyone else in the tech ecosystem looking to start, join, or help a tech startup, this event is for you!
Startup founders pitch their business or concept to the audience like on Shark Tank. Then, each founder gets a breakout room for more collaboration and discussions, similar to a hackathon.
This event takes place in on Zoom - it works best on desktop if it's your first time attending or pitching. Download the app if you are on mobile. We will be meeting virtually on the 4th Thursday each month at 8 PM EDT for 2025 - check your local timezone.
Agenda:
8:00pm – 8:10pm EST - confirm your local time zone - we are global!
Intros: while people trickle in, we introduce ourselves and the structure so you can get the most out of it.
8:10pm - 8:30pm
Pitches: Up to 16 startup founders (2 rounds) have up to 3 minutes each to pitch their businesses to everyone - they will tell us their biggest business needs or obstacles. The pitches have no Q&A - any questions can be asked in the breakouts.
8:30pm – onward
Breakout Groups: each founder who pitched gets one. You can choose which breakouts to join to have deeper discussions with the founders. The first round of breakouts opens after the 8th founder pitches, with the rest opening after the final pitch.
Startup Oasis was created to pierce the illusion of accessibility of startups and tech by creating a grassroots forum for early-stage founders to pitch to those in the tech ecosystem to get real-time feedback for their idea or business.

Founders Pitch
Startup founders pitch their businesses like on Shark Tank. There is a 3-minute time limit for each pitch. All comments, questions, and feedback are held until the breakout rooms open. This makes the process very efficient!
Breakout Groups
After the last pitch, each startup founder gets a breakout group. You can choose a breakout group to join to have a deeper discussion with the founder. You can move between breakout groups for the remainder of the event.
