Description

Women direct! Dorothy Arzner was the first director to join the DGA. Playing with the amazing Ida Lupino-helmed film noir The Hitch-Hiker from 1953, the first film she received directing credit on.

Merrily We Go to Hell (1932, Dorothy Arzner, 1h 18m): A drunken newspaperman is rescued from his alcoholic haze by an heiress whose love sobers him up and encourages him to write a play, but he lapses back into dipsomania.
