The Texas Film Commission's Film Friendly Texas program provides ongoing training and guidance to statewide community leaders on how to prepare their communities to understand the opportunities and embrace the economic benefits of media production.

Film Friendly Texas Certification provides media production companies with increased assurance that certified communities are industry-savvy and sends a clear message to media industry professionals that communities are serious about attracting their business.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Texas Film Commission's Film Friendly Texas program, although the target audience for this workshop will be community representatives affiliated with local government organizations who will serve as the community’s point-of-contact for facilitating media production requests. Most communities will choose a member of their city or county government, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce or Economic Development Corporation to attend.
