Figure Drawing Class with Cristi López
1st Monday of the month at SHAMc, 6:30-8:30pm
Ages 12 to adult, $25 per class

Explore the timeless art of figure drawing in this monthly, community-centered session with artist Cristi López. Participants will receive a brief introduction to gesture, proportion, and foundational drawing techniques before engaging in a collaborative drawing environment where participants take turns modeling for one another.

This class is designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced artists looking to hone with their practice. Cristi will offer light guidance throughout, helping students build confidence while keeping the atmosphere relaxed, supportive, and grounded.

About the Host:
Cristi López is a Tampa Bay artist with a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. Her work spans large-scale murals, intimate paintings, and detailed illustrations, bringing vibrant, emotive stories to life into public and private spaces. She cultivates environments that connect people with themselves and each other by leading inclusive, community-focused drawing sessions, including Queer Contours, her weekly figure drawing series in collaboration with Queer Expression St. Pete.
