Fighting Book Bans and Censorship: An Activation of Hope

Join Nationally recognized Children's & YA Book Authors Phil Bildner and Ellen Oh in a panel-discussion moderated by local teens. Held during Banned Books Week, the authors, panelists, and audience members will discuss issues surrounding censorship, advocacy, and how banning books connects to larger issues of oppression throughout both history and in the current societal climate.

Come join us for an inspiring event dedicated to standing up against book bans and censorship. We believe in the power of words and the importance of free expression. Let's come together to celebrate our freedom to read and learn from diverse perspectives.

Location: Chestnut Hill Library / 8711 Germantown Ave, Phila PA 19118

Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of a community that values intellectual freedom and the right to access information. Together, we can make a difference and protect the voices of authors and the stories that need to be told.

This event is planned for teens/older school aged-kids and their adults.

Give-Away books from various Banned Book Lists will be available while supplies last.
