"Fight the Cold" with Community Coat Drive

SAN CARLOS, CA – October 7, 2025 – IMPACT! Kickboxing Fitness, a leading local fitness studio dedicated to empowering the community, today announced its partnership with Samaritan House, San Mateo County’s largest safety net organization, to launch a holiday Coat Drive. The "Fight the Cold" campaign aims to collect coats, especially focusing on providing brand new, unworn outerwear for children and teenagers (ages 0-18), offering warmth and comfort to local low-income and homeless residents throughout the winter season.

The coat drive kicks off this week and will run through Dec 11, 2025. 

"Our mission at IMPACT! is not just about physical strength; it's about building a strong, supportive community," said Tammy Shueh, General Manager at IMPACT! Kickboxing Fitness. "As the weather gets colder, we want to make sure our neighbors are protected. Partnering with Samaritan House, an organization that does so much for San Mateo County, allows us to translate our community's energy into direct, tangible support."

Samaritan House provides essential services, including shelter, food, healthcare, and clothing, to thousands of individuals and families in need across San Mateo County every year.

How the Community Can Participate

The public is encouraged to drop off coats at the IMPACT! Kickboxing Fitness studio, located at:

836 Brittan Avenue, San Carlos, CA 94070

Donation Needs:

While all good quality coats are welcome, we have a special need for brand new, unworn coats for:

• Children and Teenagers (Ages 0-18)
• New or gently-used coats for adults of all sizes.

Collection Hours:

Drop-off hours are structured to accommodate busy schedules:

• Weekdays (Monday – Thursday): 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
