About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 45 minutes

Join ANHD to celebrate 15 years of empowering grassroots leaders and building community power across New York City!

Since 2009, our Center for Community Leadership (CCL) has trained and supported over 300 organizers to tackle the city’s most pressing issues, neighborhood by neighborhood.

On July 1st, we will honor the achievements of this year’s Center for Community Leadership graduates, reflect on CCL’s impact, and recognize the continued solidarity that fuels our movement.

Come enjoy remarks from visionary leaders, food, drink, a rooftop space to gather with CCL alumni and other NYC organizers, a photobooth, and more.

Organized by

This coalition includes Make the Road New York (MRNY); the Association for Neighborhood & Housing Development (ANHD); RiseBoro Community Partnership; Community Service Society (CSS); Community Voices Heard (CVH); VOCAL-NY; MHANY Management, Inc., a mutual housing association; the Center for New York City Neighborhoods (CNYCN); and New York Communities for Change (NYCC).

We are advocates representing primarily low-income New Yorkers living across the five boroughs inside and outside of public housing; mission-driven, non-profit affordable housing developers who have together built and preserved thousands of units of affordable housing; and service providers who help New Yorkers access critical resources. We work everyday to secure racial and economic justice for all New Yorkers. We and our members have organized communities facing displacement pressure in the face of City-driven neighborhood plans, built power with people experiencing homelessness and in NYCHA communities, and provided counseling to help thousands of New Yorkers stay in their homes.
