Join us for a panel discussion with Public Sediment, including several faculty from UC Davis and California College of the Arts, and guests from other teams for a discussion regarding resilience to climate change. The Resilient by Design Bay Area Challenge brings together leading designers, government officials, and community members to consider climate related threats to the Bay Area.
UC Davis faculty on Public Sediment team include Brett Milligan, assistant professor of landscape architecture and environmental design; N. Claire Napawan, associate professor of landscape architecture and environmental design; Brett Snyder, associate professor of design; Beth Ferguson, assistant professor of design.

Gena Wirth, Scape
Resilient by Design Team: Public Sediment
Gena is the Design Principal at SCAPE and member of the Dredge Research Collaborative. Trained in landscape architecture, urban planning and horticulture, Gena draws from her interdisciplinary training to create ecologically rich and culturally relevant landscapes from the infrastructural scale to the site level.

Operating at the intersection of architecture, fabrication, and ecology, the lab merges spatial practice with innovative techniques of material production and rigorous ecological research.
Susan Schwartzenberg, Exploratorium
Susan Schwartzenberg is a senior artist at the Exploratorium is part of team Common Ground that is looking at resiliency issues and field stations for San Pablo Bay.
Beth Ferguson and Claire Napawan, UC Davis
Beth Ferguson is Assistant Professor of Design at The University of California Davis. She is the director of Sol Design Lab, a design/build studio that specializes in solar infrastructure for urban resiliency. Claire Napawan is an Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of California, Davis Department of Human Ecology. Her work explores building community resilience through the use of new and alternative co-design methodologies.
