About this event

🌿 Kick Off Your Weekend with Good Vibes & Good People

Join South to Seattle for Field Day Fridays which is a laid-back, intentionally curated space for Black folks to unwind into the weekend. We’re taking over Seward Park for an evening of games, music, and easy connection. Whether you're new to Seattle or a longtime local looking to expand your community, this is your invitation to relax, play, and meet folks who actually want to hang out again.Seattle’s beauty is best enjoyed in community. We’re creating a relaxed and joyful space for us, as Black folks, to combat the Seattle Freeze with those who believe community shouldn't end when the party does. Think of Field Day Fridays as the grown up recess where you can hang with new and old friends!

What to Expect:

  • 🎧 Music: We pride ourselves on our music tastesand we're also really trying to learn these line dances so come ready to put boots on the ground...or not :)
  • 🎲 Laid-Back Games: From spades to cornhole, pick your vibe (or just cheer from the sidelines)
  • 🫗Libations: We'll have snacks and libations to share
  • 🌲 Nature Breaks: Short optional walks for those who want to explore the park
  • 🫶🏾 Real Connections: No awkward icebreakers, just natural conversations

The day before the event, you'll receive the exact coordinates and map screenshot for where we'll be meeting!
