Description

The National Dialogue on Highway Automation will consist of 5 meetings held across the country. Attendees can choose to participate in one or more of the Workshops. Each Workshop will consist of discussions on general issues of highway automation and specific topics as identified below. Participants should select specific workshops based on their desired topic area, or simply by the most convenient date and location.

National Workshop 5: Infrastructure Design and Safety – Dallas, TX | November 14-15, 2018

Focus Area - Infrastructure Design and Safety: Discusses infrastructure design and standardization needs to facilitate automation. Will highlight areas where automation technology developers and public agencies need discussion and collaboration to address where the roadway infrastructure, design, condition, and environment could lead to potential safety challenges.

We will begin with registration at 12:30pm CST on Wed. Nov. 14th, with the program beginning at 1:00pm and going until 5:30pm. On Thurs. Nov. 25th we will begin at 8:00am and conclude by 3:00pm CST local time.

By attending or speaking at the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) National Dialogue on Highway Automation, you consent to be photographed, recorded and/or videotaped by FHWA and its agents. Further, by attending or speaking at the workshop, you also authorize FHWA to publish, reproduce, exhibit, transmit, broadcast, televise, digitize, display, distribute and otherwise use for educational, promotional, or any other purposes: (a) your image, likeness, and voice, and (b) all photographs, recordings, videotapes, and audiovisual materials of or by you (collectively, the Materials), in any format whatsoever now or hereinafter created by FHWA without further notice or consent. It is understood that all of the Materials, and all films, audiotapes, videotapes, reproductions, media, plates, negatives, photocopies, and electronic and digital copies of the Materials are the sole property of FHWA. By attending or speaking at the workshop, you release FHWA and its agents from any liability arising out of use of the Materials.
