Felting Fall to Winter Fairies Workshop (with Jamie Campbell)

Fairies, or their equivalents,exist in various forms and with different roles in numerous cultures worldwide, from Europe to Asia and beyond. Visitors are invited to create their own 3D fairies using needle felting and fiber construction techniques and methods to create a moveable standing figure . We will finish with a fairy photo shoot in the pier garden.

Special guest teaching artist Jamie Campbell will demonstrate and guide participants through original 3D fairie construction. Jamie created large scale sculptures and instablation work in the gallery at Cherry Street Pier during Phantastic Phibers. She has taught several workshops in Studio 16 including creating bats, light up jellyfish, and Delaware River Monsters. She will exhibit an installation in "Weaving on the Waterfront" August 1-31 on the 2nd floor balcony at Cherry Street Pier. She has been exhibiting and collaborating with Bonnie MacAllister since 2012.
