🎣 Free, Family-Friendly Learn to Fish Program! 🎣

Want to try fishing? Come join us for a FREE and fun-filled family event! Whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner, this program is perfect for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

🛶Event Details:

  • Where: Straw Point, 49 New S St, Stoneham
  • When: Fridays from 9:00am-11:00am, starting May 30 - October 3.
  • Who: Open to the public, families encouraged!
  • No fishing license required.

💡 What to Expect:

  • Bring your own fishing gear, or borrow ours (limited equipment and bait provided).
  • Learn basic fishing techniques, tips, and tricks from experienced anglers.
  • Relax, enjoy the outdoors, and make memories with family and friends!

Where do I park?

There is limited parking at Straw Point. You can also park onstreet nearby, or at the Stoneham Zoo, which is a little hike away.

I have never been fishing before. Can I come anyway?

Please do! We are interested to help folks learn to fish and connect with their local environments.

Is there a restroom?

Unfortunately there are no facilities onsite.
