Feline Flow: Yin-Inspired Community Yoga Class

By Ipsita A Mallik

Overview

A calming Yin yoga class with feline-inspired flow and guided meditation. Slow, deep stretches for all bodies.

A free, accessible, slow-paced practice for deep release & mindful movement

Join us for Feline Flow, a Yin-inspired community yoga class designed to help you unwind, soften, and reconnect with your body at a gentle pace. This calming all-levels session blends slow, deep stretches with feline-inspired movement, accessible asanas (postures), and a relaxing guided meditation to close.

Yin yoga focuses on holding poses for longer periods to release tension in the fascia and connective tissues, improve mobility, and support emotional grounding. With cat-like fluidity and mindful attention, this class invites you to slow down and move with intention.

What to Expect

  • Gentle, beginner-friendly Yoga Asanas (postures)
  • Feline-inspired warm-ups and stretches for spine & hips
  • Long, passive stretches for tension release
  • Slow, grounding Yin poses held with support
  • Mindful Pranayama breathwork + guided meditation
  • A warm, inclusive, community-centered environment

Who It’s For

All levels are welcome — especially beginners, stressed professionals, creatives, LGBTQ+ community members, people of color, and anyone looking for a soothing, judgment-free place to practice.

Perfect for those who want a slower, meditative approach to yoga.

Cost: Free or donation-based

Participants are encouraged to give a donation as a token of appreciation only if they feel called — accessibility is the priority.

As an energy exchange, a review, small note of feedback or gratitude is also welcome.

What to Bring

A yoga mat (mandatory), comfortable clothing, and any props you enjoy (blanket, blocks, bolster).

If you don’t have props (blanket, blocks, bolster, etc), I’ll offer modifications and alternatives.
