Over the course of four weeks, we will grapple with the driving question: What does it look like and mean for learning, feedback, and grading to be focused on building caring relationships?
Too often, feedback and grading practices work counter to building the relationships that are essential in learning spaces. Rather than fostering caring, safe spaces that enable vulnerability, evaluative practices can shut down valuable connections and disrupt trust between students and educators. In this series, we will explore how to reframe assessment, feedback, and grading as relationship-centered, caring practices.
Join us April 3, 10, 24, and May 1 from 3-5pm MT to explore, analyze, and develop feedback and grading processes that support relational trust and deep care in the classroom.
