FED at THE MET: Serving Those Who Serve
Overview
FED at THE MET: Serving Those Who Serve
“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” – Proverbs 11:25 (NRSV)
This Friday, November 7, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM, Metropolitan Baptist Church will open her doors for FED at THE MET — Serving Those Who Serve, a special All Out Serving outreach to honor and uplift our furloughed federal employees. Acknowledging the sacrifices they make for our nation, the Metropolitan Church Family wants them to know that they are seen, valued, and loved.
Federal employees, join us for a free hot lunch prepared and served with gratitude, faith, and fellowship. Whether you choose to dine in or grab and go, you will also find prayer partners and mental health resources available to encourage and support you during this season.
What to Expect
- We will serve 150 furloughed federal workers.
- To ensure a smooth experience, registration is required for a timed entry slot:
11 AM | 12 PM | 1 PM (50 guests per hour) - Please bring your federal employee ID and arrive at your reserved time. We are unable to accommodate early or late arrivals due to capacity limits.
- Our dining area seats approximately 50 guests; others are welcome to enjoy their meals to go.
Come expecting warmth, care, and a moment of renewal. At Metropolitan, service is an act of worship, and this Friday, we are honored to serve those who serve.
