F*CHOIR open rehearsal
Event Information
Description
F*CHOIR
was born in the dead of winter
as a place to rage and collect ourselves
we meet every second monday
to sing
Take part in this open rehearsal of F*CHOIR, a feminist choir run by Jenny Moore which first rehearsed a year ago at the Unite Against Dividers weekend. The choir provides space for sounding out - moving around - an embodied learning-by-doing kind of exploration of collectivity.
F*CHOIR meets every second Monday in a studio near London Bridge and this open rehearsal will be a chance to sniff out the choir and see if it's for you.
///////// warm-ups, rounds, claps and 'oh, i totally didn't get that note, can we start from the beginning" included ////////////
You don't need to have any singing or choir experience to take part. F*choir doesn't use sheet music but has their own version of notating songs. Most of the material is composed or arranged by Jenny.
As you know, Eventbrite takes a large cut from all ticket sales. To avoid having to pay this fee, we ask you to bring £3-5 on the day. Usually, F*choir members pay £5 and also bring a snack, to pay Jenny for her labour and to make the choir sustainable. If you are unwaged and can't pay this time, please come anyway.
This F*Choir open rehearsal is hosted by Keep It Complex as part of the Organise With Others day.
