What if I can’t make it to class?

Where can I park?

Free parking is available on-site at Barnsdall Art Park. Please be aware that the parking lot can get very busy during peak times, particularly on the weekends. Please allow extra time to find parking before class

Question 3

What if my child isn't the right age for class but  I think the class would be appropriate for them?

Students must be within the age range specified in the class listing. Barnsdall Junior Arts Center reserves the right to cancel enrollment for any students who are not within the specified age range. If you have further questions please email  DCA.barnsdall.JAC@lacity.org  before signing up.

Do I need to accompany my child to class?

Adult & Child classes: An adult is required to accompany the child at all times.
Children aged 12 and below: An authorized parent/guardian must accompany the student to the assigned studio to sign them in and out of class.
Children over the age of 12 do not need to be accompanied.

Can I stay in the studio during class?

Accepted Answer

No guests, including parents, are permitted in the studios during class time. The exception to this is Adult & Child classes where one accompanying adult must be in class with the child at all times.

Question 6

What if I need someone else to pick my child up from class?

The parent or guardian who registers a student will be the designated person to drop them off and pick them up from class. If this is not the case, you must contact BJAC at dca.barnsdall.jac@lacity.org to authorize a different person.

Do you offer adult classes?

Do you accept drop-ins on the day?

We require students to register for the full class session. If a class is not full we may be able to accommodate students who would like to join before the second class of the session begins. Please email us at dca.barnsdall.jac@lacity.org to inquire.
