About Farmland Preservation:

Farmland Preservation is a statewide program that places permanent conservation easements on farmland in partnership with farmers.

Farmers receive easement payments to protect their land, often using the funds to pay mortgages, buy equipment, or expand acreage. This support can make continued farming financially possible.

ACCD administers the Farmland Preservation Program in Allegheny County on behalf of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
