The Story

Making your sweet dreams come true, one treat at a time!

Hi! I’m Allyson of Treats by Allyson!

I’m so glad you found my shop! Like so many women, I never expected to be where I am now—raising kids and owning a thriving bakery. But my journey here started in early 2017 with a challenge I never saw coming.

That was the year we found out that our youngest daughter, Abigail, had life-threatening food allergies. The news was overwhelming, and I was terrified she’d never experience the joy of a truly delicious dessert. But once the shock wore off, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work in the kitchen.

Those early days were far from glamorous—let’s be honest, the first attempts were awful. My family lovingly endured batches of dense, dry, and flavorless treats as I learned how to bake with alternative ingredients. But I stuck with it. Slowly, my confidence grew, and my creations transformed into something amazing. Soon, the desserts weren’t just “Abby-friendly”—they were genuinely good.

What started as a way to protect Abigail turned into something much bigger. As she got older, Abigail realized she always had to bring her own treats to birthday parties and events. She handled it like a champ, but I could see the sadness in her eyes. Then one day, she finally got to eat the same cake as everyone else. Her eyes lit up, and she said, “Momma, I’m eating the same cake as everyone else!” That moment changed everything for me.

From that point on, I knew I wanted to create desserts that weren’t just allergy-friendly but also so delicious that no one could tell the difference. And that’s exactly what Treats by Allyson has become. Today, many of my customers don’t even know the bakery started because of food allergies—they just know the treats are THAT good.

At Treats by Allyson, I specialize in baking allergy-friendly desserts that rival, no scratch that, surpass, “normal” treats. My goal is to make desserts that bring joy to everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions, at an affordable price. Because I know what it’s like to pay extra just to keep your child safe, and I believe everyone deserves to enjoy something sweet.
