Join us for the 2nd Annual Piedmont Area Falls-Free Expo , a FREE, fun, and informative event dedicated to healthy aging and fall prevention in our community!

This community-wide event brings together older adults, caregivers, and service providers for a day full of learning, movement, and connection:

✔️ Wellness classes like chair yoga, exercise & wellness, and Tai Chi
✔️ Insightful speakers from Atrium Health, Wake Forest Baptist, and Stewart Physical Therapy
✔️ Dozens of health and wellness vendors with valuable resources
✔️ Free giveaways, lunch, and opportunities to connect with others

BONUS: Kick off the day with our STEP-tember Community Walk at 9:00 AM, part of the statewide fall prevention challenge. Let’s get those steps in together!

Who do I write the check out to?

Checks should be written out to PTRC, C/O Falls-Free Expo.

Is the Falls-Free Expo really free to attend?

Yes! This is a free event for attendees, including access to classes, speakers, resources, and even lunch. We do encourage registration to help us plan accordingly.

Do I have to register in advance?

Pre-registration is encouraged so we can plan for food, seating, and materials—but walk-ins are welcome!

What’s the STEP-tember Walk?

It’s a special 9:00 AM walk kicking off the Expo, part of a statewide challenge to promote movement and fall prevention. All are welcome to join, just wear comfortable shoes! This walk can be done outdoors around the area, or inside the gym.

Is this event only for older adults?

No! While the Expo is designed with older adults in mind, caregivers, family members, and professionals are all encouraged to attend.

Will lunch be provided?

Yes! All attendees will receive a complimentary lunch (while supplies last). Vegetarian options will be available.

Where should I park?

Free parking is available onsite at the Intergenerational Center for Arts & Wellness.

Can I bring a group?

Absolutely! Just make sure each person registers or contact us if you'd like to register a group.

I want to be a vendor, are spots still available?

Yes! While our premium (main area) vendor spots are full, we still have room/stage spots available for $25. Use the vendor registration link to sign up.

What should I bring?

Just yourself, and maybe a friend! If you’re joining the STEP-tember walk, bring comfy shoes or a step tracker if you have one.
