Fall Pruning 101

with Jeff Seitz

Wednesday, October 29  |  1 - 3 pm

BREG - Elective

Fall and early winter are usually the best seasons to prune your shrubs and trees in the home landscape but, knowing how to prune different species so that they thrive can be a challenge. Join Jeff in this hands-on class to learn how to prune common shrub species so that they can continue to thrive and grow in your landscape. Students will actively practice pruning some shrubs on property during this class so be prepared to be outside the entire class time.

This program will take place outside and will follow easy trails and paved walkways. Dress for the weather and prepare to be outside for the entire program time.

Jeff Seitz was the owner and operator of Appalachian Creek Nursery for 23 years and has been designing, installing, and managing landscapes in the Asheville area his entire life. Jeff has been on the board of directors of Greenworks, Black Mountain Chamber of Commerce, Black Mountain Beautification Committee, and Asheville Home Builders. He is a licensed landscape contractor and holds certifications with energy efficient landscapes as well as residential rain gardens. In addition to all of these accomplishments he is a NC Certified Plant Professional and is a tour participant with the Master Gardeners each year.
