Fall of Freedom at DC
Overview
Fall of Freedom at Dallas Contemporary
Friday 21 - Saturday 22 2025
11.00 AM - 5.00 PM
Free admission
161 Glass St.
This November, Dallas Contemporary joins Fall of Freedom, a nationwide call to action uniting artists, cultural institutions, and communities in defense of creative expression. In response to rising authoritarianism and censorship, Fall of Freedom activates museums, galleries, theaters, and community spaces across the country to celebrate the power of art as resistance.Dallas Contemporary will activate the museum as a makerspace for creative protest during the two-day program. Visitors are invited to take part in hands-on workshops and resource stations that center artistic freedom and self-expression as essential civic tools.
Guests will create their own protest materials such as buttons, signs, and T-shirts, amplifying their individual voices through collective action.
In connection with this spirit, Dallas Contemporary is inviting musicians who have collaborated with the museum to contribute to a collective playlist available on DC’s YouTube channel, extending the conversation through music.
