About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

Space is limited to 25 people.

Join us as we hike the Headlands and watch raptors soar high above the coastal grasslands along their fall migration route. We will start at the Gateway to the Jenner Headlands parking lot off of Highway 1, a mile and a half north of the town of Jenner.

The hike will be about 4 miles and include over 800 feet in elevation gain from the coastal bluffs to the edge of the forested ridgeline. From this vantage point, we will be in prime observation territory to witness the acrobatic feats of these marvelous birds of prey.

Naturalist Dave Barry of "Wild by Nature Walks and Talks" will be leading the hike and helping us to identifying the raptors that we encounter along the way. Make sure to bring your binoculars to catch all the action!
