Fall “Kick Off” can be a great time to jumpstart your ministry. For many communities, fall is a time to try something new, return to “regularly scheduled programming,” or bring people back who may have drifted off. Why not take some intentional time in the summer to give some intention and space to your fall?
Whether you’ve already got a good idea of where you’ll be going this fall or haven’t thought about it, there’s something here for you at this FALL FORWARD workshop.
In this two-hour* workshop, you’ll have a balance of:
- Mini presentation (and ideas!) from Traci Smith (coach, consultant, author and faith formation expert)
- Individual planning time to block out what you’re doing and, most importantly, why you’re doing it.
- Breakout time with peers to share your one biggest takeaway or best idea
*Pro Tip: The workshop itself is two hours, but if you can block out an additional hour after the session concludes to further work on your planning or to take a nice, long, contemplative walk, we highly recommend it!
What to bring:
- Your favorite way to take notes (journal, Notes App, etc.)
- Significant dates that are unique to your church or community (We’ll have the liturgical holidays sketched out for you)
- A cozy beverage or candle to make the space inviting and retreat-like
We’ll provide a planning sheet during the event that will also be emailed to you at the end.
Will this event be recorded?
The teaching portions of the session will be recorded and shared with registrants afterward. Breakout discussions and planning time will remain off-camera so you can participate freely.
