Please note the Fall Faculty Professional Development Day’s schedule this year. There will be a plenary speaker in the Great Hall to kick off the day, followed by sessions from 10:00 am to 10:50 am.

About our guest speaker, Taneah Matthews:
Our guest speaker for FFPDD is Taneah Matthews, MSSA. Taneah Matthews is a Senior Program Coordinator for the Division of Community Training and Staff Development at Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS). She also leads the Montgomery County L.O.S.S. (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team, providing compassionate, coordinated support to individuals and families affected by suicide loss.
With 19 years of experience in human services, Taneah brings deep expertise in program coordination, workforce development, and community engagement. Her career began in 2006 as a Child Welfare Investigator, and she has since held roles spanning behavioral health, workforce development, direct service, and supervision. Taneah holds a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University, a Bachelor of Arts from Wright State University, and is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio.
A passionate trainer and advocate, Taneah is certified in numerous behavioral health curricula, including Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid, QPR, Trauma 101, safeTALK, enCompass, and more. She also holds a Pupil Services license through the Ohio Department of Education and has mentored and supervised both undergraduate and graduate-level social work students.
Taneah’s leadership is grounded in integrity, advocacy, and compassion. In addition to her professional work, she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she continues her lifelong commitment to public service and social impact, especially within the Black community. Taneah is a strong advocate for system-level change and servant leadership throughout Montgomery County.
