Overview
Fall Cooking: Apple Cranberry Crumble Bars (Rendering Lard, Making Jam)
Come join us at True Cut Ranch for a hands-on experience in creating delicious fall treats! Learn how to make scrumptious Apple Cranberry Crumble Bars while also mastering the art of rendering lard and making jam from scratch. This in-person event will immerse you in the flavors of the season and leave you with new skills to show off in your kitchen. Don't miss out on this opportunity to elevate your fall cooking game!
Each participant will make their own 8x8 pan of Apple Cranberry Crumble Bars to bake at home. This could be a nice breakfast or treat to bake during the week, or even consider popping it in the oven for an easy Thanksgiving breakfast!
We'll use local apples, lard from True Cut Ranch, and maple syrup from Jennifer's family farm in Upstate NY to make this delicious fall treat.
After the workshop you're welcome to join farmer Fred for a short stroll to give the apple scraps to the pigs!
Your hostesses will be Melissa Falcone and Jennifer O'Donnell. Jennifer is an essential oil and gluten-free cooking expert; she blogs at GreenThumbCooking.com. Melissa is a farmer at True Cut Ranch and the host of The READY Pantry, an online membership group.
