Amani Strings is a duo founded by Afro-Colombian cellist and vocalist Carolina Borja and multi-instrumentalist Ismail Douglas.They use the cello, voice, guitar, Kora and Berimbau (both African instruments)and cura(Turkish instrument), to produce a unique musical blend of soothing and rhythmic sounds.


The focus of their music is to create a meditative, relaxing and joyous atmosphere for the audience. Through the transformative power of music, Amani Strings wants to intentionally take the listener on a magical and exciting journey.
