Fall Bird Migration Walk in Woburn

By Marlborough Trails Committee

Overview

Final walk in the series of 3 fall bird migration walks. Enjoy the great fall scenery and a variety of birds on the move!

Join us in celebrating the fall bird migration on a guided walk led by an experienced birder!

A top birding destination in any season, Horn Pond combines many different habitats in a convenient loop - including a community garden, a large pond and several smaller bodies of water. The Horn Pond Recreation Area spans approximately 633 acres and offers a range of habitats, including wetlands, woodlands, open water, and meadows. This diverse ecosystem supports rich biodiversity, attracting a wide variety of bird species year-round. We’ll meet at the Horn Pond Sturgis Street Boat Launch to begin our morning (https://maps.app.goo.gl/zY5ZucS4DbfqEzzS8). Parking is available along Sturgis Street with a few additional spots in the lot that contains the boat launch. We will also try to arrange a car pool from Marlborough.

Limited loaner binoculars available. Beginners welcome! Please prepare for weather and insects.
