Turn on your ovens—fall baking is here! Join Lisa Ruland for a hands-on virtual class and bake a classic homemade apple pie with a flaky, all-butter crust and warm caramel sauce.

Skill level: Beginner-friendly, but great for intermediate bakers too. You’ll leave with confidence—and one of fall's best desserts.
What you’ll need: A few pantry staples (flour, butter, sugar, spices, apples), a rolling pin or wine bottle, a pie plate, apple peeler, knife, and a baking sheet. A full ingredient and prep list will be emailed after you register.
Who's the instructor?: This class is led by pastry chef Lisa Ruland, editor of the IACP Award-winning cooking and recipe website Unpeeled Journal.
Lisa has a degree in Baking and Pastry from the Culinary Institute of America, and hands-on experience in some of New York City’s most famed bakeries.
Her food writing has appeared in Bon Appétit, Condé Nast Traveler, Food52, Saveur, Eater, and Taste, where she’s known for recipes that are both elegant and doable.
She’s taught Zoom baking classes to home bakers for years, and brings clear instruction, smart tips, and calm encouragement to every session.
