Potter Park Zoo is holding a Sensory Friendly FALCONERS event October 17, 2024
FALCONERS is designed to allow children or adults of all ages with special needs and unique challenges (such as autism or developmental disabilities) and their whole family to have an enriching educational experience in a safe, welcoming and sensory friendly environment.
By registering you can come in anytime between 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Note: Doors will not open until 5 pm! The event states until 7:30 PM because that is when we will shut down all activities and ask families to leave so the zoo can close. We can only allow people to come in until 7:00 PM. That will give families 30 minutes to do some activities if they are interested. NOTE: Hayride will close down at 7 pm because it is to dark after this point to run the activity.
It is time for our annual October event, Boo at the Zoo. It is time to put on your favorite costume and visit the zoo! The FALCONERS event and all of its activities will not be available past 7:30 p.m. The zoo will be very dark at this time- hayride ends at 7 pm. We will have cider and donuts available (gluten free donuts as well). Specific details will be sent the day before the event to those that register. There will be Boo at the Zoo themed activities. Activities will be very similar to the ones that are available on Saturday and Sunday's at the zoo during our other Boo at the Zoo events. This event is a lot less animal themed. Candy and non-candy options will be given out as well at a few stations.
