About this event

Holiday • Fall events

🎉 Filipino American History Month (FAHM) is a month-long observance in October that commemorates the first recorded arrival of Filipinos in North America in 1587. Initiated by the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) in 1992 and officially recognized by the U.S. Congress in 2009, the month celebrates the rich history, culture, and significant contributions of Filipino Americans to the United States. Events, educational resources, and community celebrations are held to honor this legacy, with a focus on the ongoing struggles and triumphs of the Filipino American community.

This is a family-friendly community event. Enjoy the festivities by supporting Filipino food vendors and other small businesses! There will also be activities, games, food, and live music for all to enjoy and learn more about Filipino culture.
