About this event

Need help getting your fabric back in tip-top shape? Come to NESTL the 4th Tuesday of each month for Fabric Fix-It!

We will have menders on site who can either offer advice on mending, or mend textiles for you. If your project goals are out of the scope of what we can accomplish in one evening, we will help you make a plan to carry out on your own.

Some common fixes include: hemming, patching small holes, reattaching buttons, and fixing or replacing zippers.

This will be our first fabric fix-it, so we will be limiting it to 2 items per person. If we find our menders are able to get items fixed, we would love to expand it to more! Feel free to bring supplies to fix your item, if you have them. We will have some supplies on hand. Please plan on sticking around while your items are fixed.

Want to mend at this event? Email marlee@seattlereconomy.org to sign up

Looking for more opportunities to grow your textile skills?! Join us on the second weekend of each month for our Community Threads! Every 2nd Saturday at the Shoreline Tool Library and 2nd Sunday at the NE Seattle Tool Library.
