Join us for the second workshop in a Two-Part mini-series on Extending the Growing Season for your home Garden. (You do not need to have attended the first workshop in the series to attend this.)

Urban Root Cellaring will focus on how to preserve the harvest over the winter months and how to plan your garden for winter eating. In this workshop we will talk about

*Choosing crops for the Root Cellar

*Planning the Root Cellar Garden: When to plant it and how to grow it

*How to set up a Root Cellar in your house in the city: some options

*Proper Storage of Crops to last all winter

Parking: There is limited on street parking. Can park at park'n'ride lot at Hamnett Station.

If traveling by Bus: Garden Dreams is one block from Busway. Hamnet Station. 61A. 

Accessibility: Site entrance accessible by sidewalk, then gravel driveway to greenhouse. Greenhouse has limited paved concrete access. While gardens are uneven grass surfaces

Restroom info: 1 regular portajohn

Drinking water: Bring a water bottle. Water available from a sink
