Exploring the Night Sky with Binoculars in Death Valley Fall 2025

Exploring the Night Sky with Binoculars in Death Valley Fall 2025

By Death Valley Natural History Association

Overview

Death Valley nights are amazing! On dark nights an astounding array of stars dazzle the eye: a display that needs to be seen to be believed.

Death Valley has some of the darkest skies in America. The perfect place to explore the Milky Way and beyond!

And this December there is a bonus: the Geminid meteor shower!

There is more up there than stars and meteors!

Binoculars can give your nighttime viewing that extra edge: providing a close-up look of deep sky objects that are not seen by naked eye – unlocking a new layer of the vast beyond.

Join experienced night sky enthusiasts Kimber Moore and Tim Kendziorski as they teach us how to explore this wonderous Death Valley night sky.
